The Plan
Press
"The Plan” carries an undeniable credibility. It is endearing, dynamic –- and like a live show -– over before you know it. The record hits you fast. It hardly seems as though it could come from an “old, tired, struggling” group. We Own Land have a vitality and an intensity that can keep a crowd on the floor for a long time. Although you may hear influences like The New York Dolls, Black Flag, Motorhead, Bad Brains, and even some of the more iconic hard rock bands of the late ’70s and early ’80s, “The Plan,” still sounds very new."
— Nicholas Politelli , The Newport Mercury
“We Own Land is a little less Cactus and a lot more Motorhead. These Newport natives do not fit the image many have of their town as they tried to take down the ship to the bottom of the sea. With energetic drumming, a dynamic frontman and relentless solos, We Own Land are bringing back punk influenced hard rock to Newport, and its about time. This three hour cruise was over way too soon, but at least I am with the movie star and Mary Ann. I guess that makes me the Professor. (Eric Baylies)”
